A beautiful piece, this Natural termite eaten Mallee didge measures 1.6m with a unique curve, painted with a Goanna, wrapped around the length. It has been treated, has a beeswax mouth piece and is glossed. Natural wood has been left at the bottom, giving this a unique blend between raw wood straight from the outback and also shows the depth of crafting with it's glossy finish.
This piece was hand selected in QLD by Billyara and has been handcrafted with one of the oldest techniques, traditionally stripped, shaped and treated to give the best possible sound in it's most natural form.
Billyara learnt the craft of wood working from Uncle Roy Barker from Lightning Ridge when he was 18 years old. He practices with great respect for his ancestors and the land by sourcing wood responsibly and of the highest standard while respecting the country on which he walks.
